Designed specifically to secure OUTWARD swinging doors with hollow metal frames. NIGHTLOCK LOCKDOWN 2 is code compliant and labeled & listed to UL10C, UL 10B. NFPA 252 and CAN/ULC S104 standards.  No floor mounting required. We have nine (9) sizes to fit nearly every hollow metal door frame. Works on both left or right-hand opening doors.

Locking Handle and Wall Box

The NIGHTLOCK Lockdown’s Locking Handle can be conveniently stored in a secure location in the classroom by the teacher. A handy Wall Box is provided with each unit and can be positioned anywhere in the classroom for quick access to the handle incase of a Lockdown Event. The handle is RED for easy visual locating. Most schools prefer positioning the wall box near the door or at the teacher’s desk.

Most facilities prefer to have a few extra Red Locking Handles available for use by substitute teachers for example, or incase of lost or misplaced handles. Extra handles are available for purchase and should be kept in a secure location such as the administrators office.

RELEASE TOOL

For use by ( police, fire and administrators ) A Release Tool is available to unlock the barricade device from outside the classroom, or safe room, incase it is needed. You should have one available in each building. We recommend having the Release Tool kept in a secure location such as the administrators office. 1 Release Tool for each building is included FREE with your lock order.

The same Release Tool works for both the Nightlock Lockdown 1 and Nightlock Lockdown 2.

NOTE: All though codes vary from State to State. You must obtain approval to use and install a Door Barricade Device from your local code officials.
